flak for your coffee?
at a local restaurant today, i asked kellyn if she wanted coffee. she said no thank you, which elicited a laugh and a "good girl" from the server. i calmly commented that kellyn did drink coffee and that i freely allowed her to do so.
the server's apologetic eyes bobbed up and down with her head as she back peddled, stammering out "oh, that's good."
she then asked kellyn if she wanted a soda...
go figure.

It is kind of amazing that people here will freak over a child drinking a little coffee (even decaf) but let them drink a Red Bull or Mt. Dew with nary a thought.
