waffles and pelts

kellyn had her first significant sleep over last night. in fact the three girls are still sleeping as i blog. they met at 3 p.m. yesterday, stomped around the house, squealed, had a lip stick fight, and took my sniping at them to tone it down and clean up their messes with good humor.

they wanted to watch a horror movie. i was skeptical. kellyn watches the all the time, but these other two are not my children. i interviewed them about previous horror experience and with saw and texas chainsaw massacre on the list, i agreed to let them watch a masters of horror flick called pelts.

they ate beer-battered waffles and watched a gruesome film where a man pulls off his top layer of skin as if it were a t-shirt.

i'm pretty sure my mom would shit her pants in a disapproving manner.

yay! mission accomplished.
