summer school

summer school used to be for the kids who slacked of during the school year.

in graduate school, it's for the over-achieving nerds who want to get ahead.

while i don't fancy myself a part of that latter category, the class i'm currently taking will put me ahead. i enrolled simply because i want to incorporate more popular culture into my lessons for english 101 students.
