frozen nostril hairs. t-shirt, sweater, coat, scarf, long underwear, gloves, boots, and beanie. icy roads and tricky vehicle maneuvers. razor wind eviscerates cheeks.

too long. a guest overstaying their welcome. "well, it was nice seeing you." why don't they leave?! keeping a forecast on the homepage. rows of cartoon clouds and farcical flakes.

"give me a minute, i'm not ready."

teasing minx. pulling out the boots and scarves again. and again. and again. when i should be dancing around a may pole.

touching burned skin. glancing down at a freckled shoulder. freed feet and kiddie pool hair.
