first cd ever?

syndie asks her text friends forever: what was the first cd you purchased? and here's the results:

kris kross
billy joel "river of dreams"
depeche mode
erasure
paula abdul "blowin' kisses"
guns and roses "appetite for destruction"
enya
dc "talk"
take that "take that and party"
the presidents of the united states
proclaimers
boyz II men
vanilla ice

and just cuz i have some older friends, (hehe) here's some of the first cassette tapes purchased:

grease soundtrack
prince "purple rain"
michael jackson "thriller"
beastie boys "license to ill"
run dmc "raising hell"
cher's greatest hits (complete with choreography)
brain sync "meditation"
debbie gibson "electronic youth"

and me? the real mccoy "not another night" and 311, bought simultaneously. i think my first tape that i bought on my own was *gulp* alanis morisette "jagged little pill" but i had all the safety kids tapes before i rocked out to the non-ironic "ironic."

"all you gotta say is no, whoa. all you gotta say is no!" *giggle* those silly safety kids...

You didn't ask me about the tape. My first was "Soul II Soul" and I was all bummed because the radio verion of "Back to Life" was totally different from the album version. I was also upset because my mom declared that no, I could NOT grow my hair like the guy on the cover.
